Robert (Rob) Muller is the Senior Vice President—Engineering at OPSdesign®, and prior to joining OPSdesign® in 2007, Muller spent eight years as a Senior Engineer and Partner at a nationally recognized material handling logistics consulting firm. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Rutgers University.
Muller has engineered and consulted for companies in a variety of industries and market channels including apparel, appliance, catalog, chemical, computer, consumer products, drug, food, fragrance, government, importers, liquor, office supply, party supply, pharmaceutical, retail, and third-party logistics. He experienced at optimizing supply chain networks for manufacturing and distribution operations.
Muller regularly performs detailed time studies for the purpose of cost analysis, labor planning, lead time calculations, and new product development labor costing. He has engineered and designed manual, mechanized, and automated material handling systems for numerous privately held and publicly traded Fortunate 500 companies.
Muller was a co-speaker at the annual Institute of Industrial Engineering conference in 2001. He co-authored a Warehousing Education & Research Council (WERC) publication “A Complete Guide to Pallet Storage Systems” in 2003 as well as “Pick This! An Anthology of Piece Picking Alternatives”.
